Like Flying | Wandering in Kirishima Shrine @Kirishima(2)
I thought about paying for a fortune for work. π’π If I drew a great fortune, I'd send it to my superstitious boss, saying, "Boss, look, even on vacation, I didn't forget about work. πΏπI specially came to the most spiritual place in southern Kyushu to draw a fortune for our team." If I got a bad one, I'd just throw it away and draw again. π’π But there were just too many people in line, and I didn't really believe in it anyway, so I gave up and switched to wandering mode for a walk: Next to the main hall's sacred tree is an 800-year-old, 38-meter-tall Kyushu cedar; the maple leaves next to the Kagura Hall attracted quite a few beautiful young ladies to stop and admire; going down the mountain from the side path of the main hall, Kameishi (Figure 1, also the old Omotesando), there are quite a few small shrines along the way (Yama Shrine, Wakamiya Shrine, Chinju Shrine, Figure 3). πΏπ Finally, I saw the sign of Sakamoto Ryoma and his wife Oryu. πΊπThe couple was invited by Saigo Takamori to spend their honeymoon here (some say Ryoma came to recuperate). In terms of fashion and trendiness, Ryoma was truly the number one in Japan. He might have been from the 21st century, sent back in time (laughs). π’π After a cursory visit to Kirishima Shrine, I took a taxi to the airport and successfully boarded the plane home. Looking back, I took seven flights during this trip to Kagoshima Prefecture, and none of them were delayed. πΊπ All the connections went smoothly. I'm amazed at the punctuality of the Japanese once again. If it had been UA or AA, I might still be stranded on some remote island! πΊπ #Kagoshima
