Kagoshima + Sakurajima Day Trip(1)
Today is such a sunny dayο½It would be perfect if there weren't any annoying clients. π π’π First things first, if you're heading to Sakurajima like me, make sure to get the Cute Pass. πΊπI ended up with a bus day pass, which meant I had to buy separate tickets for the ferry and bus to Sakurajima. What a loss! π Our first stop was the Jozan Observatory. From Kagoshima Central East Platform No. 4, take the City View Bus (it runs every 30 minutes) to Jozan Station. π’πAfter a short climb up a hill, you'll arrive. You can get a great view of Sakurajima from here, though unfortunately, it wasn't erupting today. At the observatory, there were two super-friendly grandpas who stamped our cards and even asked us in Chinese if we were from China. πΊπ It reminded me of my grandfather. π’ Half an hour at Jozan Observatory is plenty. Keep an eye on the bus schedule and wait in advance. π’π Our second stop was Sengan-en Garden. We took a chance and visited the Sakuragawa Teahouse, and we got lucky with a window seat! We quickly ordered two set mealsβlocal cuisine and sea bream dishes. πΊπ Both were pretty good, but I'd say the local cuisine was slightly better (thanks to the black pork). π π’π After lunch, we strolled around Sengan-en. The greenery was especially vibrant on this sunny day, and it was so satisfying to walk around. We even bought an ice cream at the entrance (though I wouldn't recommend it). π¦ πΊπ #Kagoshima π
