Kagoshima + Sakurajima Day Trip(1)

Today is such a sunny day~It would be perfect if there weren't any annoying clients. πŸ˜… πŸŽ’πŸƒ First things first, if you're heading to Sakurajima like me, make sure to get the Cute Pass. πŸŒΊπŸŒ‡I ended up with a bus day pass, which meant I had to buy separate tickets for the ferry and bus to Sakurajima. What a loss! 😭 Our first stop was the Jozan Observatory. From Kagoshima Central East Platform No. 4, take the City View Bus (it runs every 30 minutes) to Jozan Station. πŸŽ’πŸƒAfter a short climb up a hill, you'll arrive. You can get a great view of Sakurajima from here, though unfortunately, it wasn't erupting today. At the observatory, there were two super-friendly grandpas who stamped our cards and even asked us in Chinese if we were from China. πŸŒΊπŸŒ‡ It reminded me of my grandfather. 😒 Half an hour at Jozan Observatory is plenty. Keep an eye on the bus schedule and wait in advance. πŸŽ’πŸƒ Our second stop was Sengan-en Garden. We took a chance and visited the Sakuragawa Teahouse, and we got lucky with a window seat! We quickly ordered two set mealsβ€”local cuisine and sea bream dishes. πŸŒΊπŸŒ‡ Both were pretty good, but I'd say the local cuisine was slightly better (thanks to the black pork). πŸ˜‹ πŸŽ’πŸƒ After lunch, we strolled around Sengan-en. The greenery was especially vibrant on this sunny day, and it was so satisfying to walk around. We even bought an ice cream at the entrance (though I wouldn't recommend it). 🍦 πŸŒΊπŸŒ‡ #Kagoshima πŸŒ‡
