Kagoshima Itinerary: Details of Sakurajima Volcano π’
I've been back for a while but haven't had the time to organize my thoughts. Here's a rough outline for anyone interested! πΈ ππΈ As soon as you disembark, there's a tourist information board right at the exit. They also hand out return address cards in Japanese. The attention to detail is amazing! We managed to travel smoothly without any prior planning. π π Taxis are lined up right outside the cruise terminal. I recommend sharing a ride with friends, four to a car. Take the tram to "Kyoda" station, and then transfer to another tram if needed. ππΈ We were a bit spontaneous and took the ferry to Sakurajima for about 150 RMB. On the way back, we took a taxi from the Planetarium for 3,500 yen, which is roughly the same as 150 RMB. π It felt okay at first, but then I realized it was only 7 kilometers! So close, yet so expensive! πΈ ππΈJapan is truly advanced and everything is so convenient! We took a tram at the Sakurajima ferry terminal. I didn't prepare at all, just hopped on when it arrived. You can pay by card or cash, and even exchange for coins. π Actually, you can buy a day pass, which is a good deal. I don't recommend taking a taxiβit's really not far. π For the Sakurajima ferry, we just followed the crowd. ππΈ No need to buy tickets before boarding; you can pay when you disembark, either by card or cash. π’ πWe found a hot spring hotel on the island and soaked in the bath. The price was incredibly reasonable! Only 350 yen per person. You have to try it! πΊ ππΈ Next to the hot spring hotel is an open-air footbath. It's perfect for relaxing! π€οΈ #SakurajimaVolcano #KagoshimaCruiseDayTrip ππΏ
