Kame | New York Ramen
I came across a tip saying that Kame has ramen even better than Ichiran. But after trying it this time, I have to say, it just didn't hit the spot for me š. Overall, it felt pretty Westernized, almost like a new-wave ramen experience... The ambiance and presentation were on point, though. š 330 8th Ave, New York, NY 10001 ā Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen ā The flavor was a bit off for me... Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of stinky tofu, but I found the bamboo shoots really, really pungent. š¶ļø ā Shoyu ā As a soy sauce ramen, it was decent, but I'm just not into soy sauce ramen... so... ā Karaage ā The fried chicken was super crispy, but it didn't feel very Japanese. And that soy sauce drizzled on top? Way too salty. ā Kurobuta Sausage ā The smoked sausage was flavorful, but if you're not into that smoky taste, it's not for you. Another miss for me. š Overall, it was presentation > ambiance > taste, but maybe it just didn't suit my palate. I definitely won't be going back. #Ramen #NewYorkFood š
