Kelowna Road Trip (3/3) Restaurant Guide | Hits & Misses β
Here's the final roundup of Kelowna dining spots! For road trip itineraries & winery reviews, check my previous posts. π½οΈ Bouchons 4.5/5 A hidden-gem French bistro (not yet overrun by social media!). Won Vancouver/BC Restaurant Awards (can't recall exactly π). β Why it shines: Classic French dishes executed perfectly Generous portions (rare for fine dining!) Escargot > Le Crocodile's version No wait times + chill vibe (take that, overhyped spots!) π« Salt & Brick βββ "Why is this place hyped?!" π΄ Red flags: False advertising: Claimed "daily handwritten menu" = basic bar food Terrible service: β’ Called at 4PM - "fully booked, walk-ins only" β’ Arrived 6PM - "40min wait" (we were 1st on waitlist) β’ Checked 7PM - "another hour" (host's fake smile π) β’ Never called back despite empty tables (!) Tiny space + zero distancing (pandemic who?) Thankfully, we escaped to Bouchons by 8PM π π³ Krafty Kitchen 4/5 Instagram-famous brunch spot Γ la Vancouver's OEB. β Bowls we tried: Baja Bowl (crispy pork belly) Buffalo Bowl (fried chicken) Epic Vegan (tofu scramble) All hearty portions, solid flavors. π« Karak Chocolate + Pastry 4/5 A hybrid of Beta 5 + Angus T! β Must-tries: Galaxy-themed chocolates π Flaky croissants (all flavors!) Tiramisu (boozy & balanced) Photogenic interior βπΈ Came here 2 mornings in a row! π The Train Station Pub 3.5/5 Converted historic train depot β cozy pub. β Decent brunch takeout: Nothing groundbreaking but no regrets Massive portions (hangover-approved) π· Winery Restaurants Both Mt. Boucherie + CedarCreek had great dining (see my winery post!). #KelownaEats #OkanaganFood #VancouverFoodie
