Komah | Michelin Korean Cuisine | São Paulo
🏠 Komah Restaurante 🗺️ R. Cônego Vicente Miguel Marino, 378 - Barra Funda, São Paulo - SP, 01135-020 Found a super stylish Michelin Korean restaurant in São Paulo! What's most amazing about it is how perfectly it blends traditional Korean cuisine with innovative styles. Every bite has the familiar aroma of Korean food, yet hides a touch of fresh creativity😉 The restaurant isn't big, but as soon as you push the door open, you're wrapped in a warm atmosphere—wooden tables and chairs are polished to a shine, simple Korean ornaments hang on the walls, and the lighting is soft and gentle. It's really comfortable to sit down. The restaurant is extremely popular; it's full as soon as it's meal time. It's recommended to go early to get a seat, otherwise you'll probably have to wait in a long line at the door🤫 I directly ordered a set meal (banquete), which allows you to try several signature dishes at once—though it's not clearly written on the menu, you can just tell the waiter you want the set meal, and they'll get it😉 Overall, it was a pleasant surprise, especially the pork belly and beef tartare. The flavors are so unique; I must recommend you to try them! 📌 What the set meal includes: First served are the regular Korean appetizers, placed in small plates covering half the table. I've always loved Korean pickled radish, and this one has the perfect sweet and sour taste. It's crisp when you bite into it, really refreshing🥰 Besides radish, there are several other side dishes, and the kimchi is also authentic—spicy enough but not harsh. Beef tartare (raw beef mixed with egg yolk and pear shreds) At first, I hesitated looking at the raw beef, afraid I wouldn't like it, but I was hooked after the first bite! The beef is the aroma of sesame oil, tender and melting in the mouth, mixed with the sweet pear shreds and smooth egg yolk. Each bite is fresh and not fishy. If you can accept raw food, you must try it; it will definitely change your impression of raw beef😋 Braised beef The braised beef is tender enough to melt in the mouth. The taste is a bit like Chinese-style beef brisket but with a hint of the sweet taste unique to Korean food. The sauce is thick enough to cling to the meat. It's delicious, but not particularly amazing—something you'll finish but won't specifically miss😌 Pork belly This one is simply divine! The pork belly is grilled to a crispy finish, with the edges slightly crunchy. When you bite into it, the aroma of the fat bursts "sizzling" but isn't greasy. Wrap it with lettuce, perilla leaves, rice, shredded green onions, and spread with the special sauce— the freshness of the vegetables, the saltiness of the sauce, and the aroma of the meat mix together. Each bite has super rich layers, and you can eat two bowls of rice with it. It's so satisfying with rice🤤 Omurice It's quite good-looking, with a golden egg skin wrapping the rice, which looks very tempting. But the taste is just so-so—it's just kimchi rice wrapped in an egg, with no special highlights. Not recommended❌ Lettuce salad It's refreshing, mixed with a bit of sesame oil, crunchy when chewed, just right for relieving greasiness. It's just at the level of an ordinary salad~ The whole set meal is calculated per person, about 140 reais per person. You can eat so many dishes, so the cost-effectiveness is quite high! 🍨 Dessert section: I saw bloggers on Xiaohongshu recommend desserts before, so I specially ordered two, but unfortunately, the signature mille-feuille was sold out that day. What a pity😭 Matcha powder ice cream rice cake Fortunately, this one didn't disappoint! The rice cake is soft and melts in the mouth. The ice cream has the slight bitterness of matcha powder and the sweetness of cream, refreshing and not greasy. After eating the savory food, taking a bite of this instantly relieves greasiness and satisfies. Highly recommended!👍 Mango sorbet I personally don't like it. The sorbet is thick in texture, the mango flavor is a bit too sweet, and it feels greasy after two bites. Not recommended~ ✅ Tips: If you want to try more varieties, the set meal is a sure bet; If you only want to eat the signatures, it's recommended to order beef tartare and pork belly separately; For desserts, go for matcha ice cream and mille-feuille (I must try the mille-feuille next time!) #KoreanFood #FoodieCheckIn #FoodExplorationReport #WhatToEatOnWeekend #WeekendFood #ExtendWeekendWithFood #WhereToGoOnWeekend #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGemRestaurant #Cuisine #Delicious #FoodExploration
