KoSam Samgyetang|My First Big Meal in Canada

Who would’ve thought my first meal in Canada would be Korean food? And it turned out to be the most comforting, happiness-inducing meal I’ve had here! I absolutely loved the seasoning at this place! After accidentally eating at many places with heavy flavors or MSG, I realized how rare and precious it is to find a spot that serves delicious, clean, and lightly seasoned food. The staff 💁‍♀️ here are super efficient and friendly. After tipping, it came to about $30 per person 🔪. Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💰$24.99 🐔 The signature ginseng chicken soup! When we ordered, the server mentioned they had sold out, but they would make a fresh batch, so we had to wait 15 minutes. Quick shout-out to the side dishes—they had potatoes 🥔 and eggplants 🍆 that were really tasty and in just the right portions. 🥣 The soup itself was incredibly light and flavorful. You could tell it wasn’t full of MSG, but rather naturally simmered (no thirstiness afterward!). They also gave us a plate of thin noodles, already cooked—just heat them up in the soup, and they turn silky smooth. The hotpot kept the soup warm so well that even after finishing every last drop, the soup was still warm! 🐔 The chicken was tender and juicy, easily falling off the bone. It was a small chicken, judging by the tiny drumsticks, haha! Inside, there was sticky rice, a red date, and a piece of ginseng. All in all, I felt so good after this meal. I was a bit uncomfortable due to my period cramps, but after eating, I felt fully revived! Might start coming here once a month now, haha! 😆 Dol Sot BulGoGi Dup Bap (Beef Bulgogi Hotpot) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💰$19.99 🐂 The portion of beef was generous, and the flavor was just right—light and easy on the stomach, with no heaviness. It was absolutely delicious! 😋 I definitely want to come back and try more dishes from this place! #100RestaurantsChallenge #KoSam #Samgyetang #KoreanFood #NorthYork #NorthYorkRestaurants #TorontoEats #TorontoFoodie #BulgogiHotpot #TorontoFoodAdventures #GinsengChickenSoup
