When people mention Kamakura, many think of the crossroads from "Slam Dunk," the beach where the four sisters from "Our Little Sister" took a walk, or Enoshima from "She Was Pretty." But for the Japanese, the first thing that comes to mind when they think of Kamakura is probably the Great Buddha of Kamakura. 🍃🌸 This time, while visiting Kamakura to photograph hydrangeas, I also took the opportunity to visit the Great Buddha after six years. The construction of the Kamakura Great Buddha began in 1252, standing at 11.31 meters tall.
