Kyushu π Kagoshima: Sengan-en + Sakurajima
The 2024 cherry blossom season has just concluded our trip to Kyushu, Japan. First stop: Kagoshima, famous for its Sakurajima volcano π 1οΈβ£ If I could recommend just one spot, it would be: Sengan-en βββββ Japanese gardens never disappoint; they're a feast for the eyes with their lush greenery, quaintness, tranquility, and cleanliness. Across the sea, you can gaze upon the majestic Sakurajima volcano π. In the foreground stands a flourishing cherry blossom tree πΈ. We visited on a rainy day; I can't even imagine how beautiful it must be on a sunny day! Inside the garden, there's a Cat Shrine π±, which is quite intriguing. Cat lovers, don't miss it, and there are various related merchandise. There's also an array of glass art pieces. Just taking in the sights is incredibly satisfying! 2οΈβ£ Transportation: ππ»ππ» The city one-day pass is a great deal. Kagoshima, as the starting and ending point of our Kyushu journey, we flew directly on a recently resumed flight by Hong Kong Airlines βοΈ. As soon as we landed, the local airline staff welcomed us in a line and even gave us gifts! If you're exploring the city, definitely get the cute one-day pass; it's valid for municipal buses, trams, and ferries! Except for the airport to city center trips, which need to be purchased separately, it covers a lot. Sightseeing Bus π: It connects to most major attractions (Sengan-en, Jozan Park, Tenmonkan Shopping Street, Aquarium, etc.). Trams π: They run quite late, so no worries about closing times. Ferries β΄οΈ: Very convenient for trips to Sakurajima!! It's worth the ride. #Kagoshima #KagoshimaTravel #KagoshimaWagyu #KagoshimaFood #KagoshimaTrip #KagoshimaBlackPigHotPot
