L'ORTONE
Sometimes when dining in Florence, I park at the 🚘 Sant'Ambrogio parking lot. As you come up from the parking lot, you'll see this restaurant right away. 🥩🥩🥩 The <Michelin Recommended> sign on the wall caught my eye. As a Michelin restaurant enthusiast, I had to visit and check it off my list! The restaurant has two levels, upstairs and downstairs. We were seated upstairs. 😍😍😍 Though the decor is old-fashioned, it's very cozy and comfortable. The waitstaff were all very friendly. It was a busy Friday night, but the food arrived much faster than I expected. ❤️❤️❤️ Their portions are quite generous, so I only ordered two dishes. Appetizer: La nostra tartara di bistecca (Con o senza uovo?) Their beef tartare can be ordered with or without egg. I chose to have it with egg, and it was delicious with their special sauce. It was not greasy at all and highly recommended. Main Course: Risotto con bisque e tartara di gambero Rosso del Mediterraneo e mousse di prezzemolo For the main course, I ordered risotto. It looked a bit undercooked, but the texture was perfect once I tasted it. Later, feeling unsatisfied with just two dishes, I added a dessert. Caramel pudding? I forgot the exact name, but it was not too sweet and not greasy. 👍🏾 Regarding drinks, their red wine is really reasonably priced! Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Mission accomplished! The menu is on the last few pages. 📍 Restaurant Name: L'Ortone Address: Piazza Lorenzo Ghiberti, 87 50122 Firenze FI 🅿️ Parking: parcheggio Sant'Ambrogio #MyFoodDiary #FoodieExploration #WeekendEats #Florence #MichelinRecommended #TuscanCuisine #FoodShare #Food #WeekendDining #WhereToEatOnWeekends #ItalianRestaurant #ItalianCuisine #ItalianLife
