Lanzhou Beef Noodles in San Antonio, Texas! ๐โจ
We took our new car out for a break-in drive and ended up in San Antonio โ where we discovered this amazing noodle spot! The restaurant is called Mian Noodles & Dumplings. Hereโs what we ordered: Coupleโs Beef Slices Two bowls of Beef Hand-Pulled Noodles Egg Scallion Pancake Wrap Crispy Pork Burger ๐ Coupleโs Beef Slices: Really flavorful with plenty of tripe and beef slices! A bit on the salty side though โ maybe a little too much MSG or salt, but still tasty. ๐ฅข Beef Hand-Pulled Noodles: So good! The broth was clear yet rich and savory ๐ฒ, and there was a generous amount of beef ๐ฅฉ. The noodles are hand-pulled โ you can choose thickness (we ordered โthinโ but got a different style โ still delicious though!). ๐ซ Egg Scallion Pancake Wrap: Reminded me more of an egg roll wrap โ filled with sweet sauce, cucumber, and veggies. One bite took me back to the old-school KFC Beijing Chicken Wrap days ๐๐! ๐ฅ Crispy Pork Burger This was the STAR! ๐ Unlike traditional roujiamo, this one has a flaky, layered crust โ almost like a thousand-layer pastry (similar to Chinese scallion pancake). Itโs stuffed with pepper and pork filling โ so crispy and fragrant! I just wish there was a bit more sauce insideโฆ but dipping it in the beef noodle soup was PERFECT. ๐ฏ #DallasLife #SanAntonioEats #LanzhouNoodles #ChineseFood #FoodReview #TexasFoodie
