Las Vegas|Chubby Cattle BBQ 🥩🔥

Last time I was in Vegas, I missed Chubby Cattle because the line was too long — this time, finally got to try it! No wonder it has 4.9/5 on Google Reviews — the experience was absolutely amazing. Same owner as Mikiya (the Wagyu sukiyaki spot nationwide), but Chubby Cattle's experience is way better — whether in menu variety, service, or value for money, it wins hands down. (I've tried Mikiya in the Bay Area, Vegas, and Boston — none compare to Chubby Cattle.)😘😊 Though the format is different — Chubby Cattle is yakiniku (grill), Mikiya is sukiyaki (hot pot) — you can still see the value gap. Oh, and Chubby Cattle totally smokes Gyū-Kaku too❗ 💰 Three tiers: $55 / $75 / $85 per person. Members get $5 off the first tier, $10 off the second and third tiers. Membership is $58/year. We went with the Gold tier ($75 → $65 with membership). Includes: One A5 Wagyu cut per person + one uni/Wagyu sushi per person (limited), plus unlimited American/Australian Wagyu and various sushi. Best value tier in my opinion — the priciest tier just adds more limited items. 🥩 Meat quality was excellent overall — rich marbling, tender, melts in your mouth. Beef tongue (both thick and thin cuts) was crispy and bouncy. Full marks for meat quality! 🍣 Sushi was also impressive — salmon used was fresh, not the tail-end cuts. The limited uni sushi had decently fresh uni (not top-tier but fine). Loved that they used real wasabi, not cheap horseradish paste, and rice portions were small — won’t fill you up too fast. Compared to Mikiya, Chubby Cattle’s menu is way more diverse — so many options it’s almost overwhelming. When will Mikiya expand their menu? Or better yet — open a Chubby Cattle in Boston! (We didn’t get a membership mainly because there’s no Chubby Cattle in Boston 🥲) 🦐 Seafood was less impressive — only shrimp and squid. The Argentinian red shrimp had been frozen a while — texture was a bit mushy.💕👍 The squid wasn’t great either — good thing we only ordered one portion. Everything else on the menu? Go for it! The steamed egg and mille crêpe cake were tasty too (cake is pre-made but from a good brand). PS: Their boba milk tea tastes a bit like Jasmine Milk Tea — if you like that, you’ll enjoy their self-serve boba bar. #LasVegas #VegasRestaurants #VegasEats #AYCE #AllYouCanEat #JapaneseBBQ #BBQ
