Las Vegas | 4-Day Thanksgiving Trip (Part 2) π
β Day 3 | Split Itinerary Mom and Grandpa joined a Hoover Dam & West Grand Canyon day tour with a bilingual guide π£οΈ. The guide was clear, shared useful tips for meals and photos, and the pace was relaxed β far beyond our expectations! π Stop 1: Hoover Dam Built between 1931β1936 β an era without modern machinery. Much of it was done by hand with simple tools πͺ. We walked over the Mike OβCallaghan Memorial Bridge and looked down at the dam, river valley, and cliffs β absolutely breathtaking! π Stop 2: Grand Canyon West We drove west through Dolan Springs, Arizona β a small town of just over 1,000 people ποΈ. Only two grocery stores, a school that ends at middle school, and they still use well water. True desert life! West Canyon Attractions: π¦ Eagle Point β The canyon looks like a soaring eagle from afar π Skywalk Glass Bridge β Walk over the canyon on glass! π½ Lunch at Skyview Restaurant β Floor-to-ceiling canyon views! The guide recommended the Beef Stew with Frybread β crispy, fragrant, and totally delicious π π¦ Guano Point β Once a bat guano mine! If youβre up for it, climb to the highest rock for a 360Β° view of the Colorado River! π¨βπ§ Dad & Kidβs Chill Day π βοΈ Morning: Watched the Sphere from the room + pool time π Lunch: Back to Grand Lux Cafe for ribs + ice cream π¦ π¨ Afternoon: Checked into Vdara (non-casino hotel), then walked 12 mins to the Popovich Pet Show πΆ Note: Discovery Childrenβs Museum was closed for Thanksgiving π¨ Vdara: A peaceful, casino-free hotel next to Aria. We booked a Stay Well room with a sofa bed β high floor with amazing night views π π½οΈ Dinner: Reunited at Din Tai Fung in Aria π₯ (must reserve ahead for holidays!) β Day 4 | Leisurely Free Day We woke up naturally and took it slow π΄ π³ Breakfast: Egg Slut downstairs π Rode the Vdara -> Bellagio tram and continued exploring hotels π€ Spotted an Amazon Zoox self-driving car near Luxor! ππ¨ π 7 PM Big Bus Night Tour: A 2-hour non-stop ride β the perfect ending to our Vegas trip! π #LifeInTheUS #Travel #Vegas #GrandCanyon #TravelWithKids #HolidayVibes #FamilyTrip #HooverDam #WestRim
