Las Vegas • Wicked Spoon 🦀🍽️

You can’t visit Vegas without trying a buffet, right? My last trip was before the pandemic, and I’d heard buffet quality dropped afterward. I didn’t want to believe it… but sometimes you really should trust the reviews. We booked Wicked Spoon in advance because a friend who came last year said it had the fewest negative reviews. Holiday pricing is steep — $72 per person (normally around $40–50). Payment is required at booking. When we arrived, they checked our ticket and ID, then let us in. Our reservation was for 11:30 AM. We got there around 11:20 AM and joined the reservation line — entry time doesn’t strictly match your slot, you just queue up. We waited about 15–20 minutes to get in. The walk-in line looked even longer! Conclusion: Not worth it — neither the price nor the wait. The space is huge, with different sections: seafood, desserts, meats, etc. Maybe due to many Chinese visitors, they even had Peking duck (not roast duck) and xiaolongbao — as a Hangzhou native, I found the xiaolongbao pretty bad ❌. Most meats were overly salty and tough — take small portions to try, but don’t load up. I did like the bone marrow — first time seeing it at a buffet! The “eggs in grass” (pictured) were creative and fun — complex flavors, definitely a love-it-or-hate-it item. Try one before getting more. Their famous snow crab legs are unlimited and restocked quickly. Many tables were piling plates high… but honestly, $72 could buy a lot of crab legs elsewhere! I’ve had all-you-can-eat snow crab at $20–30 buffets in Indy — so the value here felt off. Desserts were a highlight though! I ate six or seven crème brûlées — so good! Cheesecake was also nice. The ice cream had many flavors — lychee was too sweet (skip), but mango and Thai tea were great. Some holiday-themed treats were cute too 🎄. Not sure if it’s always untimed or just too busy during holidays, but no one rushed us out. When we left, the reservation line was five times longer than when we arrived… I wanted to tell people not to bother, but they’d probably already paid and couldn’t back out. 😅 📍 The Chelsea Tower, 3708 S Las Vegas Blvd Level 2, Las Vegas, NV 89109 #LasVegas #WickedSpoon #BuffetReview #VegasEats 🦀🍮🎰
