Las Vegas Food Discoveries ๐ดโจ
Tried quite a few places โ Iโll skip the mediocre ones. The truly delicious spots came highly recommended by my local foodie friend Dr. Xie โ always reliable! ๐ฒ๐ฝ First up: Taco el Gordo All about the tacos here. The braised beef tongue and pork ear are tender, juicy, and not greasy. The charcoal-grilled beef is incredibly fragrant. The pineapple grilled chicken was just okay, but when topped with cilantro, lime, and crunchy radish โ unexpectedly delicious! ๐ฆช Second: The Legend Oyster Bar and Grill Tried the oysters and Spanish paella. Oysters were fresh and good, but the paella didnโt wow me โ maybe the sofrito wasnโt quite right. (Forgot to snap a pic!) ๐ฝ๏ธ Third: Wicked Spoon Buffet Highlights: snow crab with butter (itโs a bit dry without it), sausages, well-marbled ribeye steak, honey-glazed pork chops, beef/salmon sashimi, caramel flan tarts, and mango coconut sago pudding. ๐ฎ๐น Fourth: Ferraro's Ristorante Started with bread served with a finely ground cheese/garlic/pepper/basil paste soaked in clear olive oil โ so flavorful! The seafood pasta was excellent โ if the pasta had a bit more bite and the scallops were seared crisp outside while staying tender inside, it wouldโve been perfect. Even so, it was a satisfying final meal in Vegas. Dessert was a mint tiramisu โ even though I asked for less sugar, it was still quite sweet, but the texture was incredibly smooth and delicate.
