Las Vegas Food Recommendation|Chinese – Washing Potato
Had some Cantonese dim sum during my Vegas trip – at Washing Potato inside the Fontainebleau hotel! Since we stayed at this hotel, we ate here several times, and I was pleasantly surprised – both presentation and taste met expectations. Definitely worth recommending! The dim sum is delicately made, portions aren’t huge, but since we were a big group, we could try more dishes. 🌟 Scallop Siu Mai – Super good! The caviar on top adds richness, filled with shrimp and scallop – the texture is springy. We ordered two servings! 🌟 Char Siu Pineapple Bun – Delicious! Crispy pineapple crust with savory-sweet BBQ pork filling – not too big and not greasy.😍 🌟 Hong Kong-Style Egg Tart – Standard tasty egg tart, solid classic. 🌟 Dry-Fried Beef Ho Fun – Family favorite – wok-fried with great aroma, beef and rice noodles well-seasoned. 🌟 Pan-Fried Chive & Shrimp Dumplings – Really fragrant pan-fried dumplings – like mini shrimp & chive cakes, generously stuffed. 🌟 Shrimp Dumplings with Bamboo Shoots – Cute small har gow, shrimp inside is crunchy, wrapper has nice texture. 🌟 Century Egg & Pork Congee, Blanched Greens, Pan-Fried Turnip Cake – These were decent but not standout. The congee was a bit thin (good for kids), turnip cake was fragrant though. 🌟 Mango Pomelo Sago – The dessert I looked forward to most – rich mango flavor with fresh dragon fruit, pomelo, and sago – refreshing and satisfying! 🌶️ Ask for their chili sauces – they give two types: garlic chili paste and chili oil – both are great for dipping! Other recommended dishes: Steamed Chicken Feet (not available on the holiday we went), BBQ meats, and Soy Sauce Chicken – dinner here is also a good choice! Overall, the flavors are on point! The decor is modern bar-style – eating under spotlight feels special. If you’re staying at the hotel, you can use food credit here – great experience! ☺️ #FoodDiary #LasVegasHotels #VegasChineseFood #DimSumLove
