Lava Restaurant at the Blue Lagoon, Iceland

This is a restaurant inside the Blue Lagoon. Since we were already there, we decided to have a meal. The taste was just okay, but the value for money was relatively low. 🍹 Blue Lagoon Drink 3/5 It's indeed very blue, but it tastes like Gatorade. There's whipped egg in it, which makes it smell quite similar to the Blue Lagoon water. 🍹 Fruit Punch 3/5 Non-alcoholic, just a normal fruit tea flavor. 👌 Pre-Dinner Bread 4/5 The butter seems to be mixed with yogurt and sprinkled with a bit of sea salt. It's definitely different from regular butter. 👌 Lobster Soup 3.5/5 Langoustine Soup The soup has a very strong shrimp flavor, almost as if the shrimp roe was cooked in. It's quite salty, and while there are only a few pieces of lobster meat, they are very tender. Since I'm not a big fan of such a strong shrimp taste, I gave it a lower score, but it's still decent. 🌟 Fish of the Day 4/5 Lean Cod The fish is very tender. The sauce is slightly sour and has a texture similar to whipped egg whites. The flavor is quite good. 🌟 Lamb Fillet 4/5 After having the lamb at Grillmarkaourinn, this one felt quite ordinary. There were two lamb chops cooked differently—one roasted and one pan-fried.
