Ledger Restaurant | Salem, MA 🧙♀️🍽️
📍 125 Washington St, Salem 💰 *$58 per person (pre-tip)* A mixed-experience dinner — started strong but ended a bit disappointing. Here’s what we tried, ranked by preference: 🔥 Skewers Grilled scallops were delicious! Topped with crunchy nuts for extra texture. The pork skewer was melt-in-your-mouth tender. I’m not a big fat lover, but my friend said it was some of the best grilled pork they’ve had in the U.S. 🥩 Steak Tartare The potato chips were thin, crispy, and not oily — so good! The beef was chunkier than ideal, and the portion was very small. Flavors were nice though — wasabi cream base, not too heavy. 🥗 Winter Salad My friend found it too acidic; I thought it was okay. Light and refreshing, but not memorable. 🍝 Braised Short Rib Pasta ($34) Saltyyy! I had to balance it with ricotta. Very little meat — not worth the price in our opinion. 🍞 Fig Toast Sadly disappointing. The toast was dry inside despite a crispy exterior. Topped with fig jam (not fresh figs) — way too sweet. Paired with ham, but overall felt heavy and unbalanced. 💁♀️ Service was excellent — our server was attentive and kind, so we left a 20% tip. 🥲 Maybe we ordered wrong, or perhaps the kitchen was heavy-handed that night, but overall Ledger felt overpriced for the experience. #Salem #LedgerRestaurant #BostonFood #RestaurantReview #SalemMA
