Let’s pay respects at the Golden Pagoda! 🙏

🇲🇲 Lashio, Myanmar The Chinese who grew up in Myanmar are also influenced by local customs. 😌 Some regions of Myanmar are embroiled in conflict, and Lashio is no exception. 😢 In the 2024 civil war, Lashio was also scarred, with many nearby villages severely affected, forcing countless people to flee their homes. 💔 A year has passed, and Lashio has gradually regained its former tranquility. 🕊️ Yet, the people seem more cautious now, their eyes no longer as clear as before, as if untouched by the world around them. 😔 The once-lively streets are now quiet. In the past, the Golden Pagoda was always crowded—you’d even have to queue to pray. 🏮 But today, when I visited, there were no lines at all. 😥 Only a handful of food stalls remained.
