π² Letβs Talk About Hot Pot in Denver!
Recently, while eating at Old Town Hot Pot, I noticed something interesting β most of the customers were non-Asian π§π½π©πΌπ¨πΎ. And it makes sense β only about 4% of Coloradoβs population is Asian, so seeing one or two Asian tables out of fifty fits the demographic! Most foreigners arenβt used to the idea of cooking raw food right at the table in a bubbling pot π². But as the saying goes: "First time raw, second time familiar" β and once they try it, many get hooked! For under $30, you can eat everything β even crab, oysters, and clams are all-you-can-eat! π¦π¦ͺ While everyone has their own dipping sauce style and cooking preferences, itβs fascinating to see all kinds of people gathering around hot pots by 5 or 6 PM β a colorful, delicious scene! ππ Just a few years ago, Denver had no hot pot spots. Then came Ding Shan, Zuixiang Guo, Mei Wei Guo, Bull King, and even Seoul BBQ joined in. D Station came and went quickly, followed by Old Town, Wei Ding, Kylin, Hot Pot Spot, and more. After K+ Hot Pot Spot, new hot pot & BBQ places opened near Great Wall Supermarket and in Wheat Ridge π₯π₯. Now, there are over 10 hot pot restaurants across Denver! And except for Ding Shan and Wei Ding, most are all-you-can-eat buffets with similar broths and ingredients. So why do I keep going back to Old Town Hot Pot? β Spacious β Close to home β Easy parking π ΏοΈ β Good service And honestly β if everythingβs pretty much the same, why switch around? π π Old Town Hot Pot 2852 S Havana St, Aurora, CO #OldTownHotPot #DenverHotPot #AYCE #AsianHotPot #InternationalFlavors #DenverEats
