After arriving in NOLA, I stayed two nights at the HR β a Category 3 property costing only 9k points during off-peak season. Incredible value for money! π― The location is prime β right in the heart of downtown New Orleans, facing the Caesars Superdome ποΈ. This hotel is massive and clearly hosts major conferences and events regularly. The decor shows its age but feels classy and timeless, not outdated. The atrium is stunning β floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with light, offering views of the city on one side and the stadium on the other. Even the elevator rides were visually engaging ποΈβοΈ. I was upgraded to a Junior Suite β classic "well-maintained older Hyatt" vibes, nothing flashy but comfortable. The living area is compact but fine for a short stay. The window view was a highlight β nearly unobstructed sights of the Mississippi River π. Breakfast was above average for an HR β tasty with a good variety, especially the baked goods π₯. They even serve local specialties like beignets (think sugar-dusted fried dough, but less sweet and fluffier). A solid, well-run convention hotel β great value on C3 points.
