This year, I made sure to go! 🌿 This morning, I took the train from Budapest-Keleti to Miskolc-Tiszai. At first, I got confused—I thought I had to go all the way to Lillafüred to catch the narrow-gauge forest train (🚂), but actually, you just need to take Bus 1 to Dorottya utca, then walk to the ticket booth The train ticket costs 2400 HUF, with the first departure at 9:30 AM and the last at 3:30 PM. The 15km journey takes about an hour, winding through stunning autumn landscapes 🍁. The cozy wooden carriages are heated by a fragrant pine-burning stove—so warm and nostalgic! 🔥❤️ The final stop is Garadna, where you can stroll along the road and wait for Bus 15 to take you deeper into Lillafüred. This charming lakeside town has a fairytale-like castle 🏰, serene forests, and breathtaking fall views. To return, just take Bus 15 → Bus 1 back to Miskolc’s train station.
