Lobster-Themed Tasting Menu at Forsythia French Restaurant in Philly
🌟 Forsythia 📍 233 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19105 One of my favorite French spots in Philly—this was my third visit! Saw their lobster-themed menu on IG and booked right away. The set menu was $105 per person—4 courses + dessert. Note: This special has ended, but it's currently Philly Downtown Restaurant Week (until Jan 31) with a different set menu, and Valentine’s Day options are also out—book soon if interested! Course Review: 🍤 Lobster Knuckle Tempura – Crispy and tasty, sauce paired well. 🍞 Lobster and Sweetbread Terrine – Lobster and tangy mushrooms were delicious, but the dry toasted brioche didn’t complement well. Could’ve used a sauce or butter! 🫕 Roasted Lobster & Parsnip Bisque – Creamy soup with black truffle (added $25, but ours was complimentary for our anniversary 🥰). Served with two small cheese toasts. I still prefer their regular cold crab bisque. 🦞 Lobster Coq au Vin – Half lobster was good, though the sauce was a bit overpowering. 🍰 Campari Blood Orange Zabaione – Tangy and sweet—lovely! We also got a complimentary red heart-shaped cake for our anniversary ❤️. #WeekendEats #DinnerTonight #Philly #PhillyFood #PhillyEats #FoodieLife #PhillyLife
