London’s French Cuisine at La Poule au Pot
Feeling Like You’re Back in Paris in a Second Super! Incredibly! Delicious! Amazing! I posted about it on social media and found out that many friends didn’t know about this place, so let me give it a hearty recommendation. Storefront + Atmosphere: This place doesn’t have lights; it’s all lit by candles! We went for lunch around 1 PM to take photos. (I’ve seen posts about it being too dark at night for good pictures.) The restaurant is really beautiful; you can check out their Instagram for more photos. The atmosphere is incredibly romantic 🥹 I suggest experiencing it firsthand!!! Scallop 🐚 is a must-order! I can only describe it as stunning from the first bite. Later on, I even dipped the bread in the soup 🤡💦💦 The scallop itself is super tender… Oh, I want another bite! Foie gras + jelly + bread - It’s so good I’m speechless. I finished the bread before I finished the foie gras 🤡💦 It’s just like a French restaurant I adored in Paris, and with the jelly, I think it’s even better. Ahhhhh, I’m speechless, it’s really delicious. To die for! Definitely a must-order! The stewed chicken (named after the restaurant!) is very tasty, but not as good as the scallop and foie gras. Those two are divine. The stewed chicken is very flavorful!!! I also ordered the lamb chops! If you’re not a fan of the lamb flavor, you might want to steer clear. I absolutely love the taste of lamb, and I was super satisfied. The five-minute lamb was tender and juicy. My impression is that it’s pretty standard; maybe another place would be just as good.
