London’s Quirky Atmospheric Japanese Creative Restaurant 🍴
Discovered a new restaurant with a lot of character, perfect for a date 🍴 ‘Evernight - The Eternal Night’ The menu changes with the seasons; we tried the winter menu. Many dishes that sisters have ordered before were different, so here’s a share of some highly recommended dishes we had in December! The photo order is the same as the text introduction, smiley face ☺️ 🍲 Sukiyaki: British Friesian, Onsen Egg, Corn Tea Rice Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A pot of super satisfying sukiyaki mixed rice! The variety of ingredients is a surprise in every bite! Everything is super fresh and of great quality. The hot broth soaks into every grain of rice, making it rich and hearty. The rice is served with some grilled mushrooms, and when mixed with the sukiyaki, each bite is full of layers! Arriving last, but the most impressive! Highly recommended! 🦪 Carlingford Oyster, Pineapple Ponzu, Shiso Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was intrigued by other sisters saying the oysters here are special, and they were indeed delicious! The flavor is very refreshing, probably the most amazing oysters I’ve ever had, and the presentation is stunning! The only downside is that each oyster is a bit small, not enough to satisfy me T-T 🦀 Devon Crab, Nori, Tomato Dashi, Granny Smith Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I ordered this dish for the crab meat, and the presentation was a bit unexpected. But the taste is very unique! The sweetness of the crab meat pairs well with the salty seaweed, and the tomato dashi brings a gentle warmth. Mixed together, it’s a feast of flavors! 🐟 Sea Bass, Sea Bream & Mackerel Sashimi Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The sashimi is very fresh, and the dipping sauce is light, with no heavy feeling at all! Personally, I’m not a big fan of the mackerel’s aroma. There’s another sashimi option on the menu with only Sea Bass and Sea Bream, which I might recommend more! We also ordered Enoki & Yuba Harumaki, Mushroom Bearnaise, which came as a spring roll-like dish with a homemade egg yolk sauce. The sauce was very unique and rich, but I found the “spring roll” itself a bit too salty, so I didn’t take a photo and wouldn’t highly recommend it. For the winter menu here, next time I’d like to try the 🐙 and Iberico Pork Collar. The chef’s choice of ingredients and flavors is something Asians would love! Will definitely visit again! 🤤 💰 We didn’t order any alcohol, and the average cost for five dishes was about 50. #LondonRestaurants #LondonFood #LondonDelicious
