London’s Spanish Restaurant with Ever-Changing Menu
🍴 I’ve written about this place before, but I love it so much that I came back with friends again 😋 This time, we ordered completely different dishes from last time. The menu changes periodically, which keeps things fresh and exciting. 🍟 The cover dish is my favorite: eggs with fries, a classic Madrid-style Spanish dish that instantly transports me back to Spain 🇪🇸 What sets this apart is the addition of red prawns 🦐, which makes it even more delicious. 🐷 The ham is also excellent, comparable to what you’d find in Spain, but it’s more expensive here (haha). It’s not the restaurant’s fault—it’s London’s prices! 🍚 As a huge mushroom 🍄 fan, I was thrilled with the mushroom risotto. Highly recommended! 🐟 I had high hopes for the fish cheeks, which were indeed tender, but I found them a bit too salty. They might pair better with wine, but overall, I felt this dish was a miss. 🐑 The lamb stew had almost no gamey flavor, making it a great choice for those who aren’t big fans of lamb. Highly recommended! 😍 🍞 The tomato and toast is a simple dish—some might say it’s not very technical (and indeed, you could make something similar at home with fresh tomatoes 🍅). But I appreciated that it was freshly made here, so thumbs up! 💰 I happened to take a photo of the receipt, so I’m sharing the prices at the end for your reference. The menu is always handwritten on a blackboard, so including the receipt makes it easy for you to see the costs. 🏠 Restaurant Name: Jose This place is always packed, and it seems like they don’t take reservations. I’d suggest only waiting in line if it’s not too long. If the queue is huge, maybe skip it—haha! I’m not one for long lines, but I’ve been lucky to get the last table a few times. #LifeInUK #LondonFood #EastLondonFood #LondonEats #AmbientWesternFood #LondonSpanishCuisine #LondonSpanishRestaurant #SpanishFood #LondonTowerBridgeFood #LondonFoodGuide
