London’s Top Mediterranean Restaurant - Absolutely loving it!
I’ve had this place on my list for about a year now, and finally got to try it with friends. To cut to the chase, it’s really delicious. Almost every dish we ordered had a touch of sweet and sour elements to enhance the flavor. Totally unexpected combinations, but absolutely brilliant! 🌟 Bloody Mary corn ribs The sweet corn paired with cheese crumbles is so moreish, bite after bite. A must-try! 🌟 Tuna tartare / ponzu / cured egg yolk I’m a tuna tartare superfan! If it’s on the menu, I’m ordering it! This tuna tartare passes the test with a refreshing tartar sauce that appetizes, and the egg yolk seems to be pickled and matured - it doesn’t break at a touch and is very rich. 🌟 Halloumi / honey / truffle / fig I absolutely love this dish!! The salty halloumi cheese drizzled with honey, paired with the fresh and sweet figs on the side, is to die for! Eating it all together with truffle is just too good. 🌟 Scallops / mashed potato / truffle The much-hyped truffle scallops, however, were not to my friend’s and my taste. The mashed potatoes alone were delicious and had a strong truffle flavor, but the scallops were very salty and had a slightly rubbery texture, which was a bit different from the scallops I’ve had before. 🌟 Duck breast / blackberry sauce / mix of nuts The duck breast is also a must-try! So tender, and the sauce paired with it, along with the pickled grapes, adds layers to the overall taste. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and the staff are very nice. I’m already planning my next visit. 📍 Firebird.
