London’s Unexpected Discovery of a Spanish Restaurant

On a Friday night, strolling along the south bank of the #Thames River. As I walked near London Bridge / Borough Market, I saw a restaurant bustling with activity and it seemed to be a new Spanish cuisine spot: 👉 Parrillan Borough Yards Having walked a long way, I was quite hungry, so I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere inside was great, seemed pretty suitable for a #date The barbecue was all cooked on a charcoal grill. I chose a few dishes with a Spanish twist: ➡️ Pimientos de Padron is a favorite appetizer of mine, which I often order at Spanish restaurants. These small green peppers are simply grilled, with a slight hint of spiciness, paired with coarse salt, the flavor is exceptional. Very Spanish. ➡️ A combination of Anchoas and Piparras. Salted anchovies paired with sour and spicy Spanish peppers, this classic combination balances the saltiness of the anchovies with the tangy spiciness of the peppers, creating a rich layering of flavors. Main course ➡️ Sea Bream was a highlight. This sea bream was grilled to a crispy skin with tender and juicy meat, almost melting in the mouth. Paired with a simple sauce, it highlighted the freshness of the fish perfectly. ➡️ Grilled bone marrow with raw beef tartare, my friend said it was delicious. (This is what I ordered when I went again) What surprised me was ➡️ Grilled Cabbage: The seemingly ordinary cabbage exuded a unique charred aroma after grilling. The outside was crispy, and the inside was tender, with some simple, crispy seasonings that elevated the dish. No wonder the waiter also recommended it. Dessert ➡️ Lemon Meringue Pie: The sweet and sour lemon filling paired with light meringue, the texture was dense, sweet but not cloying. The refreshing lemon aroma neutralized the savory taste of the previous dishes. Spanish beer ➡️ Estrella Galicia, with its crisp taste, was a perfect pairing with these salty dishes. The slight bitterness of the beer balanced the complex flavors of the food. Each dish here has its unique flavor, if you also like Spanish cuisine, it’s worth a try. #London #Travel #Trip #LondonFood #LondonLife #UK #Food #FoodDiary #FoodExploration #RecordNow #Records #Weekend #Delicious #SpanishCuisine #Barbecue #CharcoalGrill #LondonBarbecue #WesternCuisine
