London's 100 Meals | No. 56 Mount St.
Just a two-minute walk from The Connaught, you'll find Mount St. Restaurant, a gem located above The Audley Public House. This restaurant specializes in innovative British cuisine. The design and display of art pieces πΌοΈ are both highly distinctive and memorable. From the first bite of the pre-meal bread, it's clear that they take food quality very seriously. The Omelette Arnold Bennett, one of their signature dishes for appetizers, is a stroke of culinary genius. If I had to describe this dish, it's like a baked egg with cheese and cod, with an intense, creamy aroma that pairs perfectly with the smoky cod π. It's a combination that works surprisingly well and is quite memorable π. The scallops are also excellent, pan-fried to golden crispiness with a texture and layering that are commendable. Among the three appetizers, the only one I wouldn't recommend is the raw seabass carpaccio. The combination of strawberry juice π and seabass is a culinary disaster π€£, it's really unpalatable. This was also my first time trying their lobster pie π¦. Don't judge a book by its cover; beneath the unassuming presentation lies a hearty serving of whole lobster meat. It's incredibly satisfying. Although the menu states it's for two, I think it's just right for one, as it can be quite rich if you have too much π«£. Their mashed potatoes are also to my liking, highly recommended π. Their dinner menu differs from the lunch menu, and the beef Wellington π₯© is only available in the evening. I'm planning to give it a try next timeο½ #RestaurantRecommendation #AtmosphereRestaurant #GlobalFoodSquad #LondonLife #LondonFood
