London's 100 Meals | No.80 Parsons 🦪
Today, I'm recommending a delicious and affordable seafood bistro called 'Parsons' located near Covent Garden. On weekdays, their lunch business is booming. We walked in without a reservation and were told that only the high tables and the counter by the window were available. The menu items are adjusted according to the season/stock, such as the octopus dish I wanted to order (because it looked tempting on Google), but I was told it had been off the menu for over two months 👀. I can only hold onto my regret and come back another time~ Looking around, it seems like every table has ordered the potted shrimp croquette and oysters 🦪. Personally, I'm not a fan of Jersey Rock Oysters, so I opted for French oysters, which are a bit pricey 💰 and sold individually. Two other popular dishes are Scottish Scallop (I think the presentation > taste 🫢) and mussels. Their mussel sauce is really exceptional; I recommend ordering a serving of fries to dip in the sauce 🍟. For the main course, we shared a whole lemon sole, which looked incredibly tempting when it was served 😍. The fish skin was fried to a thin and crispy perfection, paired with lemon juice and topped with sea grapes, which was incredibly satisfying. #RestaurantsIWouldReturnTo #LondonEats #HiddenGemRestaurants #GlobalFoodTroops #LondonLife #LondonSeafood
