London's Best Basque Cheesecake at a Spanish Restaurant ๐
๐ Sagardi I went on a mid-week date to a Spanish restaurant near Shoreditch, and it was delicious! ๐ฝ๏ธ But the real standout was their dessert: the Basque cheesecake. ๐ฅง How good was it? It was the best cheesecake I've ever had! It was incredibly fluffy yet dense, served warm, and it just melted in your mouth. It felt like heaven with every bite! ๐ Their appetizers were also fantastic. I tried the cod omelette for the first timeโit was so soft and had such a unique texture. It was delicious! ๐ The Iberian ham was amazing, and the tomato bread really balanced the saltiness. It was a perfect combination! ๐ The Basque sausage was also a hit! The main course was a bit more average. Their steak is quite famous, but I didn't order it because I had too much steak over the weekend and was a bit burnt out. ๐ฅฉ The chef came over to show us the steak options, but I went with the beef sweetbread (a part of the cow's thymus) instead. It was soft and interesting, but it got a bit too rich after a few bites. It would have been better as an appetizer. ๐ฅฉ I also tried the octopus legs, which were okay but a bit overcooked and not as tender as I hoped. ๐ Their wine list was quite extensive, with lots of great options. We had two rounds of Muga red wine, which were both delicious! ๐ท I'm so happy! ๐๐๐๐๐๐ #London #LondonRestaurant #WhatToEatInLondon #SpanishRestaurant #LondonLife
