London's Cutest Museum | A Museum About HOME 🏡✨

😇🛋️Finally visited the Museum of the Home—a hidden gem that's small but incredibly heartwarming! Even on a weekday afternoon, it was quite busy. 🏡✨Inside, you'll find a series of rooms from different eras, vividly showing how our concept of "home" has evolved over time. It makes you wonder: What does "home" truly mean? The answer changes with each generation and individual—so fascinating! Are we consciously designing our homes, or are we passively shaped by technology and societal trends? "Home" is where personal will meets social forces—a space where aesthetics, beliefs, and lifestyles are expressed through materials, furniture, and objects. 🕰️📐The building itself was once an almshouse (historic charity housing), and its conversion to a museum respectfully preserves its past. On the lower floor, copper lines embedded in the floor trace where walls once stood—a brilliant way to visualize the original structure. As an interior design student now studying historic architecture, this place felt like HEAVEN! 😇 The museum is small but mighty (allow ~2 hours). The gift shop has lovely curated souvenirs too! 🆓 FREE entry (like most London museums) ⏰ Hours: Closed Mondays. Usually 10AM-5PM (check Google/官网 before visiting—it closed at 5PM today!). ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 stars—a must for design/history lovers! #LondonMuseums #HiddenLondon #InteriorDesign #ArchitectureLovers
