London | Berners Tavern Restaurant 🍴🏙️
🌸 Berners Tavern is a restaurant under the EDITION Hotel in London, about a 10-minute walk from Oxford Circus tube station. Years ago, my friend and I had a drink at the Punch Room here and noticed this restaurant with walls covered in paintings. Finally, this year, I decided to give it a try. 🪷 The restaurant specializes in modern British cuisine, and the head chef is Michelin-starred Jason Atherton. I really like the high ceilings, chandeliers, and various paintings on the walls, which give a feeling of dining in a museum. The waiters push a champagne trolley around to pour drinks, which is quite fun. The waiter recommended us the "Storm in Teacup" cocktail, which was sweet, refreshing, and had a nice taste. 💐 For the appetizer, I ordered the onion and mushroom soup, which came with a poached egg. The taste was average. My friend ordered the beef Tartare, which was very fresh. For the main course, I chose Sole, which was deboned by the waiter after serving (see photo 7). It was tasty and quite filling. My friend chose the steak, which was deliciously cooked with a crispy outside and tender inside. He loved it so much that he ordered it again on his next visit. 🧚 The highlight of dinner was definitely the "Strawberries & Cream Alaska" – a cake wrapped in ice cream and flamed, providing a dual sensory experience of sight and taste. After dinner, it's very pleasant to have a drink at the bar and chat, and the staff are very warm and enthusiastic. ❤️ Overall, it was a very enjoyable dinner experience. Reservations are required, and the cost is around £100 per person. #HiddenGemRestaurants #Hotels #MichelinRestaurants #UK #Restaurants #Inspiration #LondonRestaurants #London #RestaurantRecommendations
