London | Casa do Frango Portuguese Restaurant
💚 Casa do Frango specializes in Southern Portuguese cuisine and has three locations in London: London Bridge, Piccadilly, and Victoria. We booked a lunch at this branch near Oxford Street, which was perfect for a post-meal shopping spree. The restaurant was not too crowded on Friday, and we loved the various green plants and warm-colored decor that transported us to a warm and relaxed Portuguese atmosphere. 🩷 The highlight here is the Algarve cuisine from Southern Portugal. The Piri-Piri Garlic Prawns appetizer is a must-try, with giant tiger prawns in olive oil, garlic, coriander, and chili, juicy and spicy, very appetizing and delicious – we ordered two plates! The Iberico Pork Croquettes were tasty, and the Fish Fritters were also decent. 💙 For the main course, we chose the Piri-Piri Chicken, a charcoal-grilled chicken with a secret Piri-Piri sauce. The sight of the chicken on the iron plate instantly took us back to a seaside restaurant in Portugal – crispy outside and tender inside, very authentic. We also ordered the Casa Rice, the signature fried rice.Personally, I’m not a fan of chicken skin and slightly hard rice, but friends who enjoy these textures found it to their liking. 🌷 The service was great, and overall, it’s a fantastic spot to rest your feet and chat with friends while out shopping. The average spend is around £50, and it’s advisable to book a table for weekends. #London #HiddenGemRestaurant #LondonLife #UK #AtmosphericDining #MyFoodDiary #LondonRestaurants #FoodExploration #BritishCuisine
