London | Date Night Restaurant Worth a Second Visit 🥂
An Italian restaurant with just the right lighting and not as cramped as some bistros with close table spacing 🕯️ The overall ambiance isn’t too noisy, so you can converse without worrying about not being heard. If you’re in the mood for Italian cuisine and an elegant date atmosphere, this place is worth a try. ⭐️ Grilled Octopus: 4/5 A fail-proof starter that you can order without a second thought. I’ve had countless octopus dishes in various London restaurants, and the garlic crema sauce on this one is just right. The portion is suitable for 2-3 people. ⭐️ Pane AI Tartufo: 3/5 The restaurant claims it’s A-grade white truffle… umm… fans of black truffle might want to give it a try. The first bite is delicious, but it gets a bit cloying after the second. The focaccia is a bit tough, and the white part isn’t creamy, which is a bit odd. Plus, you’ll feel full after just two… it’s more about looks than taste. ⭐️ Cacio e Pepe: 4/5 A classic wheel pasta dish that’s just right. It’s tasty, but I’d recommend the lobster pasta for a more flavorful experience. ⭐️ Grilled Branzino: 3/5 I didn’t find it particularly good; it’s topped with pistachios and fried to be quite oily. Without the lemon juice, the dish itself doesn’t have much flavor. Not recommended (nuts + fried fish don’t seem to suit the Chinese palate. ⭐️ Wagyu Bibeye: 4.8/5 Absolutely delicious. I’m not exaggerating when I say this is in the top three steaks I’ve had in London. The cooking temperature is spot on, and the beef is tender, complemented by the special sauce. A must-order without hesitation. ⭐️ Lobster Linguine: 4.5/5 Tomato lobster pasta - a menu recommendation. The sauce is rich, and the pasta has a perfect texture. It is said that it is also handmade pasta which is nice. Although it’s not an innovative combination, it’s excellent and worth a try (forgot to take a photo, using a website image). ⭐️ Pistachio Pesto: 4/5 Pistachio pasta that’s surprisingly delicious. This is something you won’t find in other Italian restaurants in London. The flavor isn’t odd; the pasta and cheese blend just right. It’s not sweet, and you can taste the granularity of the cheese (also forgot to take a photo). The restaurant has a bar on the first floor where each cocktail-making process is quite the show, and the drinks are pretty good. 📍 Sparrow Italia Mayfair Located close to New Bond St, it’s convenient to drop by after shopping. #DateNightRestaurant #LondonDateNight #LondonItalianCuisine #LondonPasta #LondonSteak #LondonWesternRestaurant #SparrowLondon #PrettyFoods #LondonFood #LondonPrettyMeals
