London | Finally Found Delicious Pan-Seared Foie Gras 🥹
I visited 📍 Ibai , and to my delight, I discovered what feels like a rare gem in London—exquisitely prepared pan-seared foie gras. It was done just right, a true surprise. However, some of the regular dishes were a bit of a letdown. Overall, it was a mixed experience, but the foie gras alone makes it worth a visit. 😋😋 Food Quality : 3.5+/5 We pretty much ordered half the menu, with hits and misses. But my foie gras obsession will bring me back to this place, which has one of the few decent foie gras offerings in London. Next time, I'll order more selectively and try some new dishes. 🦢 Foie Gras | £12 each 🫶🏻 This is something I'd order without thinking twice, found in the sides section of the menu. The large piece served up was visually stunning and smelled divine. One bite and I was nodding in approval—it was the taste I've been craving. It went perfectly with the steak! 🦐 Carabinero Tartare | £26 + Caviar | £16 🫶🏻 The seasoning was a bit on the salty side but totally acceptable, especially because the freshness was unparalleled—you could taste the ocean! The red prawn tartare will also become a no-brainer dish for me to order in the future. 🐚 Scallops | £13 each 👍🏻 On today's special menu, they were quite large but pricey. Still, they were delicious, with a very tender texture and a flavorful garlic butter sauce. Beef Tartare | £15 👍🏻 The sriracha-flavored beef tartare had a nice tangy kick, which was a great appetizer. Croque Ibai | £20 👍🏻 Not your traditional croquette, this is their unique take on a red prawn and cheese pancake. It had a crispy exterior, filled with cheese, red prawn meat, and blood sausage. There were even sugar shards inside, making for a very intriguing and somewhat addictive experience. Iberico Pork Pintxo | £16 👌🏻 Also on today's special menu, it was a bit disappointing because the seasoning was quite bland and didn't bring out the flavor of the pork. 🥩 Galician Blond | £130/kg 👌🏻 With a minimum order of one kilogram, be ready for a meaty feast. The medium-rare meat was still tender and juicy. Remember to order the sauce, or it will be too plain! Beans & Pumpkin | £14 👍🏻 We added this dish after seeing it being prepared nearby. It was creamy and sweet, and surprisingly great for dipping the steak. Pain Perdu | £10 👍🏻 The French toast was crispy and perfectly paired with hazelnut ice cream—definitely recommended! 💰💰 Average Spend : £100-150+ #LondonMichelin #LondonRestaurants #Food #KoreanCuisine #MichelinRestaurant #HiddenGemRestaurant #LifeInLondon #StreetFoodExplorer #FoodieUniverse #GlobalVillageFoodieContest
