London | Frog Legs and Veal Sweetbread You Don’t Want to Miss 🤤

At Brooklands’ restaurant, Chef Claude Bosi serves up a delightful array of hometown dishes with warm and friendly service! Our party of three ordered all the Starters and two mains, leaving utterly stuffed and content with round bellies 🤤 Just a heads up, this French cuisine is on the oily side, especially the Starters, with each dish (except the salad) packing a rich dose of fats; the saltiness is also on the milder side, but we were quite satisfied and could always add salt and black pepper at the table if needed. 🥖 The complimentary baguette with butter and the welcome snacks, pickled cucumbers, and fried pork rinds, were like crispy, porky goodness. 🥚 The Soft boiled egg in jelly was like a savory, homemade braised egg with a jelly coating. 🐂 The Steak tartare was super appetizing, with the Brioche accompanying it full of creamy goodness. 🥩 The Terrine, a traditional French dish, is a meatloaf-like creation steamed in a rectangular mold and served cold, sliced. It had a liver-like flavor and was quite rich; we found it delicious spread on the baguette to balance the saltiness. 🥚 The Cheese soufflé was fluffy, soft, and full of cheese-y goodness. 🧅 The Onion soup was a classic French onion soup. 🥬 The Leek vinaigrette was a mustardy leek dish. 🐸 The Frogs legs in garlic butter were a dream come true for frog leg lovers – incredibly aromatic and tender. 🦆 The Duck in an orange sauce, braised endive was a classic French dish with crispy, oily skin and a refreshing orange sauce to cut through the richness. 🐂 The Veal sweetbread with morel mushroom sauce was an anticipated dish that delivered a rich and earthy flavor. 🍧 The Iced nougat parfait with raspberry sauce was a much-needed fruity dessert after our heavy meal. The raspberry sauce paired with the nougat ice cream was a perfect blend of sweet and tart. 🗺️ Josephine Bouchon #LondonFoodGuide #LondonFood #LondonRestaurants #LondonHiddenGemRestaurants #LondonFrenchCuisine #LondonFoodExploration #LondonFoodRecommendations #LondonCulinaryDelights
