The two-Michelin-starred chef from Gymkhana has opened a new restaurant at Harrods, **Vatavaran**, conveniently located near Harrods. After a day of shopping, it's the perfect spot to indulge! The lunch menu offers set meals, allowing you to choose one dish from each category—either two courses or three (with an extra dessert). 【Starters】 🐟 **Salmon Tikka** The grilled salmon was surprisingly tender and flavorful, with subtle hints of coconut and garlic. The sweet beetroot sauce underneath perfectly balanced the flavors, enhancing the fish's natural taste! 🍖 🦐 **Wild Prawn** My friend's curry mustard prawns looked huge and delicious! 🍤 【Mains】Each set includes a portion of rice, two types of bread, and tadka dal. 🐟 **Mangalore Fish** When it first arrived, I was puzzled because the curry completely covered the fish, making it hard to see my main dish. Only after digging in did I realize it was a substantial piece of fish! 🐟 🐑 **Lamb Barbat** I took a bite of my friend's lamb—it was fragrant and spicy, and mixing it with rice was simply divine! The portion size was also quite generous. 🍖 🫕 **Tadka Dal** The lentil soup had a simple, rustic flavor that I found myself enjoying immensely, finishing the entire portion without even realizing it. 🥣 【Desserts】 🍍 **Pineapple Coconut** A scoop of coconut-flavored ice cream, topped with a slice of pineapple and a generous piece of pineapple on the side. 🍍 🍨 **Phirni Raspberry** My favorite rice pudding! Even the raspberry sorbet, which I usually don't enjoy, was delightful when paired with it! 🍨 🍬 **Pistachio Baklava** The complimentary dessert was a pistachio baklava—one of my favorite treats! The gesture added a special touch. 🍬 『Drinks』 🍹 **Nilima** | £16 A truly dreamy and beautiful drink with a strong floral aroma—a delightful sweet beverage. 🌸 🥛 **Rose Lassi** | £8 I highly recommend the Indian yogurt drink. It's delicious and perfect for cleansing the palate! 🍃 Lastly, the restaurant's decor is stunning! Each floor has a unique style, and the fourth floor even features a private lounge that can be booked. The lighting, decorations, and tableware are all luxurious and exquisite, completely changing my perception of Indian restaurants! 💰💰 **Price**: 2/3 courses lunch menu | £25/£30 #RestaurantReview #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGemRestaurant #FeastForTheSenses #LondonLunch #VatavaranRestaurant #IndianRestaurantInLondon #LifeInLondon #CreativeCuisine #LondonMichelin
