London | Hidden Gem Vietnamese Pho Cay Tre in the Alley
I wasn’t planning on having Southeast Asian cuisine all the way in London, but I couldn’t resist my friend’s enthusiastic recommendation a hundred times over, claiming it’s the white moonlight of London Pho! 🏠 I quite like the decor, with warm yellow lighting and Vietnamese-style ceiling lamp decorations, wooden tables and chairs, plus Vietnamese mural art on the walls, it’s like being transported back in time; Easter egg: the Asian waiter in red taking orders is a gentle hottie. 🍜🍤 Must-order dishes: Pho: There’s a wide selection with various portion sizes, flat or round noodles, clear or spicy or tomato broth, beef or chicken, you can order according to your preference and surely find the one you like. 🫕 I ordered the beef spicy Pho, and taking a sip as it arrived was exhilarating! It’s very, very rich, with the broth perfectly seasoned, fresh but not greasy, and not too salty. I was just burying my head in the noodles! The beef portion is quite generous, large pieces and tender, it’s just satisfying! For two people, I recommend the large beef combo Pho, it’s like the “combo” version. 🌯 Crab Parcel: I saw it recommended on xhs and ordered it. It’s like a fried crab meat ball, with a crispy shell wrapping a generous filling of crab meat mixed with chopped lotus root. It’s best eaten hot, one bite at a time. 🍗 Sweet and Sour Chicken Wings: About 6-7 pieces, a must-order for those who love sweet and sour! They come out steaming hot, with a crispy and aromatic skin, delicious~ 💰 The portions are quite large; I ordered a lot to try and spent about 50 pounds, and I had leftovers. In reality, an average of about 20 pounds per person will definitely fill you up. #LondonFood #VietnameseCuisine #Caytre #FoodExploration #LondonExploration #VietnamesePho #LondonPho
