London | I Found the Best Spanish Tortilla in Town!

Second time in a month eating at 📍Barrafina! This time I visited the one on 🚦Dean Street, another former Michelin-starred spot. It’s walk-in only, but going on a weekday at 6:30, I only had to queue for about 15 minutes! 😋😋 Food Quality: 4/5 Overall, everything was delicious, but it wasn’t significantly better than the last place I tried. Just avoid the beef sweetbreads and you can’t go wrong! 🫓 Classic Tortillas | £13.5 👍🏻 A tortilla that oozes with deliciousness! The warm, runny center with the egg and potato paired with a rich sauce is divine! Unfortunately, my dining companion is a vegetarian, so I could only order the classic version. Next time, I’m definitely trying the prawn one; it must be even better! 🦐 Arroz de Carabineros | £27 👍🏻 The red prawn paella, with its al dente rice and intense seafood flavor, is a winner. The prawns are huge, and I’m the kind of person who always eats the heads👀 I ordered it hoping my friend would eat some rice, but he took one bite and said it was too seafood-y for him. 😂 🍄 Wild Mushroom | £18 👍🏻 Ordered specifically for the vegetarian, but I couldn’t resist having half. The mushrooms are so flavorful, paired with a perfectly runny, golden egg. Highly recommended! 🐷 Pluma Iberica | £32 👍🏻 By this point, I was full, but I ended up eating the whole plate alone! The black pig is always my favorite, and this dish was not too fatty, cooked to about medium-rare, with no gaminess, just pure meaty goodness! But I really wouldn’t recommend eating a whole plate by yourself! 🍘 Cod Croquetas | £8.5 for 2 👍🏻 These oozy cheese and cod bombs are tiny but packed with calories. They’re so good, it’s hard to stay mad! 🍅 Pan Con Tomato | £8.5 👋🏻 Sourdough with crushed fresh tomato, both quite acidic, but my friend loved the olive oil flavor. A bit too tangy for me, though. 🥧 Tarte de Santiago | £10.5 👍🏻 Unfortunately, there was no cheesecake available, so I went with the waiter’s recommendation.
