London | I Tried the Crab Ravioli Pasta for You
I finally visited the highly recommended📍 Manteca, which is always on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list. The ambiance is very comfortable, and the dishes are beautifully presented with great flavors! The pasta portions are quite small; one serving definitely won't fill you up. However, the main courses have surprisingly generous portions. This place is perfect for a girls' gathering or a date but not so suitable for those looking for great value for money👀. 😋😋 Food Quality: 3.5+/5 I didn't order any appetizers because I wasn't interested. The pasta was decent, and the main courses were just plain good. Overall, it was enjoyable but lacked a memorable touch. I've read many reviews saying their menu changes frequently, so I'm tempted to give it another try to see if it gets better. 🦀 Tonnarelli | £16 This is probably their signature dish, the crab ravioli pasta. It looks quite ordinary when served, but it tastes pretty good. The cheese flavor is strong, and the crab roe is noticeable. The pasta was slightly undercooked. Normally, I wouldn't order cacio e pepe because I find it a bit bland. Comparatively, I would still recommend Norma's crab ravioli! 🐷 Malloreddus | £16 The pork pasta tastes like lasagna without cheese. However, I quite liked the texture of these ear-shaped pasta. I preferred this one over the previous dish! 🦆 Duck | £42 The skin of the duck was a bit thick and not very crispy, but the meat itself was still delicious, not gamey, and well-seasoned. The accompanying sausage was also very good! 🐟 Dover Sole | £33 The first bite was tender and juicy, but the seasoning was a bit bland (or almost non-existent). This fish wasn't fresh enough to stand on its own without seasoning, so the overall experience was quite plain. 🥗 Cabbage Salad 🥗 Kale Salad I would recommend the lettuce salad, which was quite refreshing and tasty. 📍📍 Address: Manteca 49-51 Curtain Road, London, EC2A 3PT, England 💰💰 Average Cost per Person: £50-70 #food #LondonLife #LondonFood #LondonExploration #ItalianCuisine
