London | Michelin One-Star Cozy Home-style Bistro 🌟🍽️

Personal rating: 7.5/10 👍 It has consistently earned a Michelin star for over a decade, and it's quite easy to make a reservation. The price is reasonable for a Michelin restaurant. The appetizers are great; overall, the experience is not astonishing but very satisfying. 👎 The main course tastes a bit ordinary. The ambiance is cozy and comfortable but not exquisite or luxurious. Recommended by a friend, this Michelin-starred British restaurant is one of the easier Michelin restaurants to book in London. It has a neighborhood restaurant's homey feel. However, the service is still very good. It's located near Kensington in West London. There is a tasting menu with 6 courses for £95, and with wine pairing for £150. You can also order à la carte. We ordered à la carte because my friend doesn't eat lamb that day. The complimentary pre-meal snacks of thin crackers with hummus were seasoned superbly, with a smoky paprika and sweet pepper flavor, a mild sweet and sour, very fragrant. The crackers were very crispy! 🏡Bread Pre-meal bread with a mild sourdough aroma. The crust is chewy and crispy, while the interior is soft, moist, and well-balanced with butter that is delicate, light, and perfectly melted. 🏡Cornish Lobster Ravioli £24.5 The soup has a distinct cream aroma and an extremely rich flavor of shrimp heads and shrimp paste. The Italian dumpling skin is not raw, smooth, thin, and soft. The lobster filling is tender without too much fibrous texture, and the flavor is too rich. The pickled apple is sweet and sour, which I also like very much. The best of today~ 🏡Scorched Cornish Mackerel, Smoked Eel £15.25 The mackerel skin is crispy, with a sweet and crispy texture. The meat is delicate and surprisingly good. It has flavor but is not fishy, and the saltiness is just right. There is a thin slice of eel at the bottom. 🏡Roast Monkfish Tail £32.5 A bit of orange peel particles and citrus aroma. The garlic sauce is slightly creamy but not greasy, with oil-soaked tomatoes added. The fish is too salty, and it is fried with a coating, but it is not crispy. 🏡Slow Roast Rump of Veal £30.25 Slow-roasted veal, the rump part is lean but tender and not dry, not salty, quite original, but there is not much aroma, relying on the sauce for flavor. The sauce is heavily buttery, with a slight truffle aroma. With stewed vegetables and beans, I like the mushroom pieces. 🏡Apricot Bakewell Tart £9.25 The chamomile ice cream is great! The honey fragrance is accompanied by the fresh scent of flowers. The apricot sauce is highly acidic, and the hazelnut pieces are crispy. The tart is a thin, crispy shell filled with pound cake, with a rich texture. Chocolate Truffle Complimentary truffle chocolate with a hint of sea salt, rich and mellow, and the bitterness is just right, a pleasant surprise. #LondonMichelinWesternFood #DateBirthdayRestaurantRecommendations #LondonFood #LondonLife #UKLife #LondonExplore #MichelinRestaurantDiscovery
