London | Missing This 150-Year-Old Steakhouse's Sunday Roast 🍖

Sunday roast is said to be a traditional British meal that originated from post-church gatherings. 🕍 It eventually became a Sunday-only tradition. Recently, I saw rave reviews about this steakhouse's Sunday roast on social media and quickly booked a table when I saw they had availability. The Sunday menu at the restaurant only offers two or three-course options, including appetizers and main courses (plus dessert). We chose some really delicious dishes this time and wanted to share our experience with you all. 🌟 The beef shoulder croquettes were added based on online reviews. The crispy exterior and tender, slow-cooked beef inside make them truly worth recommending. Additionally, the duck liver pâté with buttered bread is a perfect match. The rich liver pâté is enhanced with a touch of jam for sweetness, and the brioche adds a double layer of fatty delight. The wild garlic potato soup is on the milder side, making it a good choice for those who prefer a lighter taste. 🥄 We ordered the Angus rump and smoked brisket, as well as the bone-in ribeye (which is a two-person portion and costs an additional £40). Both cuts were delicious. The rump was slow-roasted to perfection with a tender pink center, while the ribeye offered a richer flavor with its marbled fat. We also added the classic British dish, layered fried potatoes, which were likely fried in butter. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, though they can be a bit rich if you eat too many. 🍟 The restaurant's decor is very vintage, giving it that timeless feel of a century-old establishment. Next to the dining area is their tavern, which offers a wide selection of wines and spirits. Upon entering, you'll see mostly booths with older-style seating. The space is a bit cramped, and the chairs are a bit hard, so those with back issues might want to consider this. One small detail: the steak knives provided aren't very sharp, making it a bit challenging to cut through the meat. This is something the restaurant could improve on. 🔨 The Quality Chop House #HiddenGemRestaurant #AtmosphericDining #WesternCuisine #RestaurantReview #LondonLife #London #LondonEats #UK #LondonFoodie #LondonRestaurants #LondonEatsAndDrinks #WhatToEatInLondon #LondonFoodieSpots #LondonRoast #FarringtonLondon #UKFood #UKFoodie
