London | One of the Few Russian Cuisine Spots 🇷🇺 Mari Vanna

📍Mari Vanna A rarity in London, this Russian cuisine spot is located near Harrods. The interior is lavishly Baroque, giving you the feels of a Russian palace 🏰💎 🍠【BORSCHT SOUP】P6 A classic Russian borscht made with beets, cabbage, potatoes, onions, beef, and cream. This one’s a bit watery and light on the beef, not my top pick 😐 🍲【CHICKEN SOUP】P7 On the other hand, the soup of the day was much better – a simple vegetable and chicken broth with some noodles, quite light in flavour 🥣 🐟【SALTED COD WITH POTATOES】P4 This dish was a bit of a miss, super duper salty! Felt like a whole shaker of salt was used. The potatoes were, well, a typical British side 🤷‍♀️ 🥩【BEEF STROGANOFF】P1-2 The standout among the Russian mains is the yogurt beef, served with rice. The beef is tender, and the cream on top is just divine. So satisfying! 😋🍽️ 🍞Lastly, a shoutout to the Russian rye bread (P5) – unlike Danish rye, it’s sweet and soft, probably homemade. A London bakery treat you won’t find easily. Rye bread isn’t for everyone, so I’ll leave it at that 😌 🥟The menu also features Russian dumplings, but personally, Chinese dumplings are still the best, and Japanese ones aren’t bad either. LOL 🥟👌 Google Rating: 3.7/5 Average Cost: £50 #London #LondonFoodie #LondonEats #FoodHunt #LondonRussianRestaurant #Harrods #Chelsea #HiddenGems #QuirkyRestaurants
