London | Solo Dining | Itโs Not Easy to Get a Bowl of This Rice
At a small shop on Brick Lane Vintage street, we stepped in for a break and ended up with a table full of food. I went in just to fill my stomach, but the portions were huge! The place isnโt big, making it perfect for a solo dining experience. ๐ Let me rave about the braised pork rice I ordered ๐๐๐๐๐ I had ordered braised pork rice for delivery the night before, and it was so bad I wanted to throw up. Out of spite, I ordered the same dish here. From the ingredients to the seasoning, and even the color, I finished this big bowl without joking โบ๏ธ. Later, I learned that this is a Chaozhou cuisine style, and it really hit the spot for my first time trying it!! I canโt understand why thereโs such a big difference in food quality between restaurantsโฆ ๐ Pigโs trotter rice ๐๐๐๐: This is their signature dish. The ingredients are handled cleanly, no fishy smell, and super tender! It falls off the bone when picked up. ๐๐ฆ Claypot porridge ๐๐๐๐: A sick friend ordered this porridge. The rice is cooked to a smooth, porridge-like consistency in a clay pot, and itโs very creamy. The shrimp size is impressive, at least six pieces. They were also careful to remove the sharp tips of the shrimp heads. ๐ง Some small dishes, the spicy braised dishes are great for drinking, and spicy food lovers might recommend the restaurant to offer a choice of spiciness ๐คฃ The portions here are really large; besides me, the hungry ghost, the other two friends couldnโt finish and had to pack it up. The best part is, thereโs no service charge! How rare is that in London ๐ East London folks are really blessed; there have been so many good restaurants popping up in the area recently. ๐ฐ Average cost is around 15. #LondonFood #SoloDiningRestaurantRecommendations #EastLondonFood #HiddenGemRestaurant #LondonLife #Food #EatDrinkPlaySquad
