London | Tried the Michelin-Recommended West African Cuisine! πͺπ»
Iβve seen so many posts about π The Barbary , and since Iβve been exploring African cuisine lately, I was pretty curious about this place. I finally found the time to check it out! The prices are quite reasonable, and the flavors are solid β definitely a good value for money! π ππ Food Quality: 3.5/5 The menu is quite concise, with a few misses but also some pleasant surprises. I pretty much tried everything I wanted. I might grab a bite here again, but I wouldnβt make a special trip just for it. π₯― Jerusalem Bagel | Β£5 / Taramasalata | Β£7 ππ» The pretzel-shaped bagel sprinkled with sesame seeds gets more and more flavorful with every chew! Itβs a perfect match with the cod roe dip! π₯ͺ π Octopus | Β£25 ππ» The grilled octopus is on the softer side with a strong smoky flavor. Personally, I prefer my octopus a bit more charred and crispy, so it wasnβt quite to my taste. π Lamb Ribs | Β£24 ππ» African cuisine often features lamb, which I love! The ribs are fatty and tender, with a bit of skin and fat that leaves a lingering flavor. π π· Pata Negra Pluma | Β£30 ππ» The charcoal-grilled pork neck is a thick, juicy cut with a savory-sweet seasoning. Itβs definitely worth a try! π π°π° Average Spend: Β£40-60 #food #LondonLife #Foodie #HiddenGemRestaurant #RestaurantVisit #WesternCuisine #LondonFood #LondonAfricanFashionWeek
