π London Diaries: Things to Do for Free!! π¬π§
Museums YES, MUSEUMS ARE FREE!! There is a really wide range of museums, from science museums to natural history museums and even a maritime museum! We even ran into Irene from Red Velvet at the National Gallery! My favorites are: Tate Modern: Best for modern and contemporary art. I love the infrastructure and interior of itβit used to be a power station, so it's very industrial. π Natural History Museum: Very interesting displays and architecture! Very "Night at the Museum" vibes. ποΈ British Museum: I would say that this has the most extensive exhibitions that are categorized by countries! π Parks Probably one of my favorite things about LondonβLondon parks to me are truly unbeatable. My favorites are: Battersea Park: For the best people watching! It also has a very different vibe from the other parks as it's by the river. πΆββοΈπΏ Regent's Park: Super big, you could spend a whole day there!! Lots of water bodies with so many cute ducks & squirrels everywhere. π¦πΏοΈ Greenwich Park: For the best sunsets. π Markets Being surrounded by so much yummy food and cute shops, you probably will spend money here, but they are free to enter, and there's lots to see. My favorites are: Spitalfields Market: For food, cafes, thrift/vintage shopping, and cool murals. π²ποΈ Borough Market: Mostly just food! Lots of viral/popular spots to try. π½οΈ BONUS: Rooftop Gardens The hustle and bustle of London can be pretty overwhelming, and rooftop gardens are ideal to take you away from the hectic streets of London and be surrounded by nature while enjoying panoramic views of the London skyline. I really regret that I didn't go to any, but they are definitely worth the visit. Some worth checking out are: Sky Garden, Monument Garden at 120, Fenchurch Street #MyVibe #MyLemon8Diary #TravelGuide #travelrecommendation #exchangestudent #budgettravel #budgetingtips
