London Diary: Italian Restaurant
๐ Noci - Said to have the best pasta in London! - I won't list all the dish names (they're super long and basically include every ingredient, so I'll just mention the first few words. ๐ฅฒ) Starter ๐ Wild Mushroom... - Mushrooms blended into a paste, formed into balls, and then deep-fried. This mushroom-heavy appetizer was surprisingly good, even though I usually can't stand the taste of mushrooms! ๐ The sauce drizzled on top was smooth and delicious, though it also had a strong mushroom flavor. ๐๐ฅฐ ๐ Seared Octopus... - Octopus chunks (super bouncy, and there was quite a bit โ like half a small octopus?) with cheese and mashed potatoes. - Great as a drinking snack (though I'm not ๐ซข). ๐ท Pasta ๐ค King Prawn... - King prawns with lasagna sheets, pasta, and caviar. - The prawns were placed in the center, and they were super fresh. The caviar added a nice texture contrast (the bounciness of the prawns + the crunch of the caviar + the smoothness of the pasta). ๐ฆ ๐ฅฉ Beef Carpaccio... - Raw beef tartare (though with eggs and bean sprouts, it felt more like eating raw dumpling filling. ๐คซ) - The beef was tender and had no off-flavors. Even though I'm not a fan of bean sprouts, I have to admit they added more texture to the dish. ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฉ ๐ Amatriciana, Ziti... - Ziti pasta with cheese, bacon, and tomatoes. - It was a classic, straightforward pasta experience. ๐ Non-Alcoholic Drinks ๐น Grapefruit and Elderflower Spritz - Tasted like a grapefruit soda โ super refreshing and delicious! ๐ ๐ธ Crodino Spritz - Orange-flavored... soda? ๐ The restaurant was really loud inside. ๐ (Both the people and the music were super noisy โ this might be a minor heads-up for some.) #LondonLife #LondonFood #ItalianCuisine #Noci #London #Brunch
