London Diary 6: Marylebone
If you have half a day to spare in London, Marylebone is the perfect place to wander and unwind. 🚶♀️✨ I started my walk near the British Museum, with 📍Daunt Books as my first stop—passing by UCL and the BBC (great photo ops!), and ending with a relaxing stroll in Regent’s Park. 🌳 Here’s my no-backtracking Marylebone city walk route, featuring some of the coolest spots I discovered: 📚 Daunt Books A legendary century-old bookstore with cozy reading nooks. You could easily spend an entire afternoon here! Pro tip: Grab one of their tote bags—I debated between white and gold foil but went for the green & white one (so aesthetic!). 👜 Bimba Y Lola A "hidden gem" (though apparently huge in Spain). Their bags are gorgeous yet practical, and they’re having a summer sale—worth checking out! 🍜 Wagamama Marylebone has plenty of fancy restaurants, but if you want something affordable, this pan-Asian chain is solid. Try their pho, pad thai, or ramen! (Bonus: I passed a cute gourmet deli—forgot the name, but it had artisan bread, cheese, and wine—very Marylebone!) ☕ Monocle A cult-favorite lifestyle shop + café combo. Sip coffee while flipping through their design magazines—the perfect pit stop. Fun fact: The whole street around Monocle is lined with small, chic boutiques—great for browsing! 🛍️ Other Notable Shops Nearby: Lululemon, Diptyque, Le Labo, Agnès B, Paul Smith, Sandro, Maje… all on Daunt Books’ street! 💡 Final Thought: When you’ve seen all the tourist hotspots and want a slow, stylish afternoon, Marylebone’s Parisian vibes are the answer. 🥐☀️ #LondonDiary #Bookstores #MostBeautifulBookshops #LondonLife #LondonExploration
