London DIY Glass Blowing | Weekend Workshop | 🥀🧶

There’s a new addition to the weekend getaway options! I’ve always wanted to try glass blowing and finally had the chance in London! This beginner’s glass blowing experience is perfect for hands-on enthusiasts or a couple’s date. The workshop is run by a super talented and nice who graduated from RC and opened her own studio. Between a ring and a rose, we chose the rose because the teacher said it’s quicker to pick up, although there are more challenging options for the brave to try. During the workshop, you can choose to make one each or collaborate on a piece together. You get to pick the glass colors, with many options to choose from. After selecting the colors, the teacher will demonstrate each step in detail, and then it’s your turn to get hands-on. If you have any questions along the way, you can ask her (I kept running over for emergency help, haha). 💰 The cost is calculated from the time the furnace is turned on, at £40 per person per hour, including all materials (which is very reasonable considering the cost of imported glass). Our rose took two hours of collaboration to complete. The center of the flower and the stem were finished with the teacher’s help, and she even added the rose’s thorns - so detailed!
